Money Envelopes

Here is Dave Ramsey's explanation of the system:

We are trying the envelopes for a few of our budget categories. Eeeks I'm going to have to re-learn how to count cash under pressure =) If I was going to do this - Hubby's suggestion - then by golly I was going to to have cute envelopes!

At the top is a spot to write the category.

The middle is for jotting down where the money went, how much went and how much is left in your envelope.

At the bottom is a spot to write the amount per month for that category-that goes into the envelope at the beginning of the month.

Also a spot to write down your plan for any extra/leftover cash at the end of the month.

BIG TIP: make sure your printer setting is not scaling the pdf!! Have it on 'no scale' or 'none'.

I printed and glued a whole set till I realized they were too small =(

Creative Card Borders Using Non-border Dies

Whew what a title =) But go see the amazing card in the video!

Do you ever have a card that you have to fight to get together? ugg this one took me a while. I think one challenge was I wanted to use the cute phone and a yellow swirl shape...but the phone die is way too small of a die to make a border. So I went with my frame it die and tried to piece together the rest.

Well not my favorite. Maybe I'll like it tomorrow after I'm not sick of looking at it - hahah

Making and eating some chocolate chip cookies has helped a little!

Conclusion...I need some more dies to choose from =)

Make it Monday #174

Diamond Wallpaper Stamping

Once again I don't think I ever would have tried this with out the Make it Monday Inspiration! That's why I enjoy 'Make it Mondays' so much and then you get to see lots of wonderful creations by fellow card makers!

My first wallpaper wasn't quit diamonds, my second try I dropped the ink pad on it...oops. I respect all the beautiful backgrounds I've seen because stamping this much and not messing up is hard! Finally my third try I managed to make diamonds =) And I held my breath while adding the dots and sun bursts! haha

Even though my first try was not perfect diamonds I still liked it and had to make a card:

This was also my first Make it Monday that wasn't from the cute popsicle set... I'm loving my new sets! =)

New Toys

Thanks to gifts from my sister and my good friend I got a fun package full of new supplies to play with last week! Thank you!!
