SAF 2016: Gilded in Gold

Time to add a little gold bling:

To go with my ink blended leaf and sentiment I added a gold leaf and tiny gold dots.

Supplies:
Phrase play #7
Quilted Winter tag die
PTI Inks

Only three more challenges to go...but it's time for a nap. I sure had a blast joining in all I could =)
Take care,
Noelle

SAF 2016: Impressionism

Since I lack a large flower set in my collection I tried an impressionism butterfly:

Supplies:
Life is Beautiful set
PTI Inks

Have a good one,
Noelle

SAF 2016: Farewell

This is not our official farewell, I hope to squeeze in a few more cards today. But here are my craft buddies 'Squeaky' and 'Artsy.' God has taught me to be more patient and to be better at sharing by giving me these sweet girls. And I have two more little ones (well one still in the belly) that may join us when they are older...we will need a bigger table =)

Thank you Papertrey Ink for such a fun event!

SAF 2016: Color Blocking

What a great challenge to practice your masking and ink blending! I was surprised when I pulled it off and didn't have some big 'oops' somewhere =) Here's a little Andy Warhol inspired barn card:

I was a little chicken and left some white space instead of coloring it in. But I thought it also helped the barns pop =)

Supplies:
Petite Places barn stamp set
PTI inks

Happy Monday,
Noelle

SAF 2016: Watercolor Like a Master

Here was a great challenge to loosen up a little and watercolor. Great first video Kay! It nice to have it as a guide for us who struggle with a 'looser' technique =)

Supplies:
Pretty Petals stamps set
Mini blooms sentiment
PTI inks

Have a great day,
Noelle

SAF 2016: Pointillism Play

How fun was this! Thanks for a fun video Heather. I don't have many outline stamps, so I had to try something a little different. I cut out my popsicles then used an eraser and a tiny dot stamp to color them in and make my boarder:

I combined colors to trick your eye like Seurat too:
Summer Sunrise + Hawaiian Shore = greenish
Summer Sunrise + Berry Sorbet = orangish
Pure Poppy + Ocean Tides = purplish

Supplies:
Summer Sweetness set
dots from Songbirds
Shakers & Sprinkles die
PTI Inks

Thanks for stopping by,
Noelle

SAF 2016: Starry Night

After seeing what mom had made my daughter 'Artsy' had to make a card too!

She ink blended blue and embossed white stars from the 'Clipsters' set.
She used a 'happy' negative for her sentiment.

It's fun to have craft buddies =)

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

Blog Hop

Wow where have I been...finishing homeschool, going to a conference, going to Oregon, and because I'm 38 weeks prego taking naps when I used to create!  I'm sure I will have another MIA time when our little surprise arrives. I was happy to get to join today!

Here was our lovely inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the triangles, colors, and gold accents:

I dry embossed a triangle background, painted 'happy' with a little gold paint, then added gold sequins or thread.

Supplies:
One Big Happy set

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

SAF 2016: Starry Night

Papertrey Ink is such a fun company. It's time for their Stamp-a-faire day! I had grand plans of getting a babysitter and participating this year...finally...then life happened. We have two parties to attend this afternoon. But before the kids got up this morning I got to squeeze in the Starry Night challenge:

I ink blended, splattered water, silver and white paint as Amy showed us.
Then added black silhouettes (inspired by one of Betsy's recent cards) and sentiments.
What a fun project and I enjoyed learning more about Van Gogh while creating.

Supplies:
Petite Places Mountain dies
Life is Beautiful stamp set
One Big happy set
Star sequins from Shakers and Sprinkles kit

Have a great Stamp-a-fair day!
I hope to play catchup and join in more challenges later.
Noelle
