Make It Monday #240

Make It Monday #240

Resist using rubber cement

I've tried this on eggs, but never would have thought to try it for a card!
I opened my rubber cement and....it was dry! I finally got a new bottle and played away:

I tried a drizzle then did yellow/ blue ink blending. And added a glitter popsicle from 'Summer Sweetness' and Happy Birthday from 'Shakers and Sprinkles'

I also tried a brush stroke with pink/orange/red ink blending. Then added some banners and Oh Yeah from 'Clipsters'

My daughter thought this looked fun and is currently working on her own cards =)

Have a great evening!

Papertrey Feburary Blog Hop Challenge

Feburary Blog Hop

The inspiration:

Lovely shade of pink and green and some pears:

I first had to try a card with green pears from 'A Second Helping of Sunshine' and a flower embellishment - an old yardsale find from my grandpa that I thought I'd never use...but it worked perfectly with the inspiration photo!

Then I stretched myself out of my clean & simple, and quite flat cards and had to play with some butterfly's from 'Life is Beautiful':

This is a lot of layers for me =)  Butterflies, vellum butterflies, leaves from 'Songbirds', pink banners, edges ink blended, and sequins! But lots of fun.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Hop!

MAKE IT MONDAY #239

CUSTOMIZING PATTERNED PAPER

Was Lizzie reading my mind? The day before she posted her video I was looking through my patten paper collection thinking 'I wish I had some inspiration to use some of this stuff.'

I found this cute star print and then this BIG checkered pattern. Would a card maker be able to use this big bold print...let's see if we can customize it:

After some experiments I ended up stamping two different star stamps from the 'Clipsters' set. And the star in a circle I embossed with a clear sparkle powder.

For the little blue tag I stamped polka dots from 'Poka Dot Basics 2' and added some blue Perfect Pearls.

What a fun way to use a paper I never thought I would! (don't ask why I still had it then =) ) "Hello my name is Noelle and I like to collect craft supplies ALL the time and use them when I can find the time"

Have a great weekend!

Day 8 PTI Anniversary

Color Pop

Today's Challenge:
Create a new card using at least three colors selected with the Color Pop Fortune Teller. Feel free to add in whatever neutrals you like.

How fun was this! My girls hadn't seen a paper fortune teller before.
I got the colors Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry fizz, and New Leaf.
Such bright and happy colors I had to try some ink smooshing and bring out my 'Summer Sweetness' set:

I need to practice my smooshing =) it was more spotted than smooshed but still fun.

Day Four of the PTI Celebration

Forth day of the Anniversary Release

Create With Us!

I wasn't the only one inspired my Heathers sweet and simple card =)

I say 'simple' but I was a struggling stamper last night and had to restart my 'simple' card four times! But finally got a good one:

I used a sweet stamp from 'Clipsters' and 'One Big Happy'
Then added some glossy accents to the happy and three of the hearts.

Day Three PTI Celebration

Third day of Anniversary Release

Create a new project that is created with supplies you grab and gather together in 5 minutes.  Your project must utilize everything you grab!

My brain was still suck on yesterdays inspiration, so I grabbed my 'Orange Zest' again and my 'One Big Happy' set:

I tried an inlayed, inset 'happy:

Then three layers of the 'happy' on top:

Day Two of PTI Celebration

Second day of Anniversary Release

Create a new project that is inspired by a piece of clothing/outfit from your closet or online clothing retailer.

My oldest 'Artisy' want to play along too! Here's is her favorite shirt and her card:

Wow my closet has a lot of black and grey in it! So I had to dig into my maternity box to find a shirt...which I might as well leave it out, I'll have to start wearing it soon!

Then I got to creating and couldn't stop =)
I tried an inked background with white embossed flowers:

Next clear embossed flowers with some ink blending:

Last, orange paper with white ink:

I used 'Bitty Blooms', 'Graceful Greetings', and the 'One Big Happy' set.
What a fun challenge this was!

First day of Anniversary Release

First Day of February Anniversary Release

My favorite stamp company is celebrating and I'm excited to join in as much as I can!
Day one challenge:

Create a new project that uses one of the Color Recipe Cards

I thought Danielle's colors were so different and pretty and I loved her card! So I was not very creative and used 'Bitty Blooms'  to try and make a similar card:

Our challenge: to create a Valentine ombre effect.
Tis the month and I had to yet use the 'with love' from the 'Swoosh' set!
