Make It Monday #233

 Splattering

I was bummed in missing last weeks challenge that I had to combine the two. And splattering was probably one of my first card making techniques I tried, back as a preteen! So excited to go try it again!

I used 'Snowflake Melody' first in white then in color. Next I splattered the tags with come watered down gold paint. It was too fun not to seek in at the last minute!

Have a good night!

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

November Blog Hop

Ooo if I had style I would like style like this:

My dream craft room would be white furniture with this happy blue and green colors!
With that inspiration I made these:

With the 'Quilted Winter' set and the 'Christmas Cheer' set I made this snowflake pop off the card.
And embossed Christmas silver.

I made a snow flake flurry with 'Snowflake Melody' and made a sparkly sentiment with 'Christmas Cheer'. Then added silver sequins.

I have 3 more in the process card on my craft table...maybe I'll find time to finish them later.
Edited to add the finished cards inspired by the ornaments:

With snow outside I will enjoy staying in and checking out all you ladies made!
Happy Hop!
Thanks for stopping by,

 Motif Building

Betsys motif building is so pretty! I had to try it. I decided to challenge myself with the Petite Nativity set:

Well I could blab some more or go try to make one more thing before the baby wakes up!
Have a great day!

Make It Monday #228: Pearlized Blending

Sometimes you have a fun idea and it just doesn't turn out, but you make something work =)
I made a few tags like this with a detailed nighttime sky:

Then it was time to pearlize that sky! and...I lost my sky detail!
It was a pretty and shiny but not quite a sky anymore. Walk away for the craft table!

So the next day thought of placing a snowflake on it and made it work:

It made a better snowy sky for this snowflake.
I have not done much blending or much with my Perfect Pearls so this was all a learning process!
Now I know a little more. Would't it be fun to be in your craft room 'messing up' all day =)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great afternoon!

"It's the most wonderful...type of card to make"
I blame my love for all things Christmas on my name =)

Here was our festive Christmas inspiration:

And I took it quite literal:

It was very fun. I wish I would have had the die for the leaves, but oh well! I still know how to use scissors =)
Hope you have a wonderful blog hop.

Focal Clusters

Oh my this was so fun! I loved trying focal clusters. Thank you Lexi for the neat idea.
First we were to play with some cluster ideas:

First I played with 'Desktop Design'

Then I had to try 'Wee Folk'

Last I combined a few sets to make some Christmas cards:

As you can see I was addicted to this technique =)
I would still be stamping and making cards if the baby wasn't ready to get up and the boss wasn't coming over for dinner!

I've enjoyed seeing what you ladies have clustered!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Create Along With Us: October 2015

Create Along With Us

It has been so fun to see all the beautiful Christmas cards!
My husband has been giving me a hard time for listening to a little Christmas music while I craft =)

I was inspired by many cards, but only had time for one.
Here is Dawn McVey's lovely card:

Mmm the warm sweater background - now all I need is some coco.
I had to make one:

Well sneeking this in with some late night pics =)
Have a good night!

Two-Toned Stamped Sentiments

The creativity of the PTI ladies blow me away! I would have never thought of doing this, but isn't the look fun. Thank you Danielle for a neat and helpful video.

I had to try it with this crazy hot pink embossing powder my aunt gave me:

My girls were amazed by this card =)

Have a wonderful day!

Create Along With Us: September 2015

"Christmas time is here" well not yet but if you want to make anything for Christmas it's a good time to get started! =) I have been enjoying seeing PTI's new stamps this month. Among a ton of amazing projects was this beauty from Betsy:

I wondered if I could create a 'folk' Christmas card and just had to try!!:

I used the 'Wee Folk' set and the 'Clipsters' set.
I probably should have been doing some work, but I had so much fun =)
I think the top card needs a little something more too...maybe some stitching?

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Create Along With Us

Create Along With Us: August 2015

Inspiration all over and the PTI release is not over yet!
When I saw Lizzy Jones' card I knew I wanted to try that neat die-cut window look!
And aren't those pumpkins so cute!

Here's my inspiration:

and here's my card:

I did some 'smooshing' then used the bird stamps and dies from the 'Wee Folk' set to create the card. I liked how one of Lizzy's die-cut pumpkins went off the edge, so I had to try that too.
Then I finished it up with the 'Praying For You' set.

Thanks for the inspiration!
Have a great day!

Count down till homeschool starts: 5 days!
Hopefully that's not the end of my card making days! =)

Make It Monday #219: Texture Kissing

Texture Kissing

What a challenge! It is a neat technique but I had to make a lot of bowls before I got a good one =) I wanted a purple bowl...but the purple was too juicy. So Sumer Sunrise we went:

I used polka-dot basis and Bowl of Sunshine
I hope to try this technique some more in the future, what a great way to make your stamps do more!

Just finished a week of Vacation Bible School and am looking forward to a few weeks at home before it's time to start school...eeks! Summer where did you go?

Have a great night!

MAKE IT MONDAY #218

WATERCOLORS WITH DIE CUT STENCILS

I was camping all weekend and just watched the video this afternoon - it looked so fun I had to try it out! So I got the kiddos to bed and quickly gave it a shot.

Next time I may try a differnt stencil material, mine leaked a little under the edges.
That will have to be another day though =)
Good night.
