Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge

Blog Hop

Check out this festive inspiration photo!

I wish I had time to make 20 more cards from this photos inspiration. We are enjoying more guests again this weekend, but I snuck in this card:

I put a black and white pattern paper on a kraft cardstock card. Cut leaves from the cute Stylized Autumn set and added some glitter to the lighter one. My sentiment was cut and stamped from the Christmas Cheer set. Last I added some mini cones and some twine.

The mini cones are from an alder tree. I had collected a few of them while I was in college studying Landscape Architecture. I had thought they were so cute and would look great on cards...they do don't they =)

Have a super hop today!
I'm excited to see your festive creations!

USING FLORALS ON A MASCULINE PROJECT

What a great challenge! We could all use tips on making masculine cards =)
I thought wheat would be a good plant to use on a masculine card.

I ink blended with the new Saffron Spice color for the bottom corner and also my birthday swoosh.

It was an interesting combination of colors.
I wasn't sure if I could pull them off =) I gave my self a short 'before the kids wake up' window and was able to put a tag together:

SENTIMENT STRIP GROUNDING

Lexi's video was so good of me! Sometimes I have these elements and I stare at them for a day trying to figure out what to do with them to make them into a card. It doesn't have to be hard does it =)

While the girls are camping with Nana and Papa and the little man sleeps mommy gets to play!

This one has a little ABC background spot.

Welcome to our family Levi!

SAF Remix

Challenge: to rework a card you weren't happy with from Stamp-a-faire.
I choose

COLOR BLOCKING WITH LEXI DALY

I like how the stamping and inking turned out, but as a card is was lacking:

My reworked card has stitching details, twine, a banner and a sentiment! Now it is ready to send to someone!

I also enjoyed

WATERCOLOR LIKE A MASTER WITH KAY MILLER

so much that I made four more in these two styles:

Thanks for the fun challenge PTI - I was a little bummed that I didn't have a July baby...hopefully this week now! Your challenge gave me a happy lift.
Thanks for stopping by!

Only three more challenges to go...but it's time for a nap. I sure had a blast joining in all I could =)
Take care,

Supplies:

Have a good one,

SAF 2016: Farewell

This is not our official farewell, I hope to squeeze in a few more cards today. But here are my craft buddies 'Squeaky' and 'Artsy.' God has taught me to be more patient and to be better at sharing by giving me these sweet girls. And I have two more little ones (well one still in the belly) that may join us when they are older...we will need a bigger table =)

Thank you Papertrey Ink for such a fun event!

SAF 2016: Color Blocking

What a great challenge to practice your masking and ink blending! I was surprised when I pulled it off and didn't have some big 'oops' somewhere =) Here's a little Andy Warhol inspired barn card:

I was a little chicken and left some white space instead of coloring it in. But I thought it also helped the barns pop =)

Supplies:
Petite Places barn stamp set
PTI inks

Happy Monday,
Noelle
