MAKE IT MONDAY #301

MATTING WITH GLITTER

Ooo glitter! Of course I have a lifetime stash that doesn't get used too often =) Lizzie gave us some wonderful tips for using glitter.

My card was busy, so my glitter mat is simple:

Letterpress detail:

I did a letterpress technique with Rustic Wreath, added snowflakes from Quilted Winter,
a sentiment from Christmas Cheer and pink sequins to finish.

I will need to try this some more. I really liked Lizzie's cards with the curved/decorative edges of glitter!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Noelle

BUILD-A-WREATH

Melissa gave us great tips to make wreaths, and I know there will be lots of lovely wreath cards!
I had a little head start because I said the next card I should make is a fall card and I already had my Rustic Wreath set out!

I cut one wreath out of glitter paper and one out of brown. Then I added details with the Mini Blooms set and sequins. My sentiment is from Phrase Play #7 with some wink-of-Stella on it.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Noelle

SENTIMENT WINDOWS

We survived the September where everything starts! (school, Awana, soccer, & Piano lessons, plus a big family vacation to Disneyland and the flu hitting later too...phew) I was happy to have a little time to create.

I made a snowflake window today:

I had fun playing with the new to me dies for Snowflake Medley. I used some pattern paper, PTI ink, and a sentiment from O Holy Night.

Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. Thought I would share my favorite pictures from our vacation:

It was my parents dream to take the kids to Disneyland, so along with my sister too we made it happen.

This one always makes me laugh.

BUILDING WREATHS WITH SMALL IMAGES

I've stayed up too late playing with the Tinsel & Tags Sprigs set but had fun making a wreath for each season:

What a fun challenge Lizzie!  I just had to try it =)
Good night,

PANTONE CHIP INSPIRED CARDS

A lot of the time I am drawn to a simple graphic look and Lexi's challenge was right up that alley! Her cards looked so fun I had to find time to try it:

I played with Summer Sweetness - my first PTI set I ever bought =)
Words from Swoosh, Pretty Petals, and One Big Happy. I did some dry embossing for the back grounds.

Have a good evening!

STENCILED WATERCOLOR BACKGROUNDS

Happy Saturday!
I had some time to try a stencil from the Post & Parcel Kit.
I used the snow stencil to make some watercolored confetti:

I stamped 'Celebrate' from Celebrate Big and gave it a water wash so it looked watercolored. Then I punched out some balloons and watercolored them. String and clear sequins finished the cards off.

We are crafting this morning and have a bee field trip this afternoon!

Have a wonderful day!

STAMPING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

Lexi gave us a design basic and how the ideas started flying. You could use this idea with almost any stamp set and of course I had so many ideas and so little time =)

I challenged myself to use a stamp set I hadn't used in a while and got one card done.

Made a 'box' using Chevron Stripes. Then added a car and sentiment from Need for Speed
I added a die cut chevron scrap from Clipsters...so fun when you can use those scraps!

Have a great evening,
Noelle

What a great little technique this week: bend your stamps to create a curved sentiment.

I thought of the curved banner from the Tinsel & Tags kit and got busy:

I used a mask and stamped What the Doodle Feathers all round the banner in Vintage Jadeite and Soft Stone. Then I curved my sentiment from Praying For You mini set and added it to the banner. I popped the banner up a little and added sequined to finish!

Have a wonderful weekend!
We are going to do a little 10 year anniversary celebrating.

WINDOW CHIPBOARD SENTIMENTS

Stephanie's first Make It Monday video was a really neat idea. I was also inspired by Yana's first video and her lovely colors! There is inspiration springing up all over!

The Challenge:
Create a project with a window chipboard sentiment.

I first die cut a Big Basics Thanks window. Then I grabbed Beautiful Brushstrokes set and stamped flowers using yellow, pink, and grey PTI inks. Last I added my chipboard 'thanks'

I want to go create more...but I must go chain myself to the kitchen stove and make dinner instead =)

Have a wonderful weekend
Thanks for stopping by.

 KRAFT & COLORED PENCILS

With the little ones napping I had a few minuets to make a card (ok it was probably 45 minuets, but feels like minuets =) And tried coloring on kraft.

I colored in Rustic Wreath and added the sentiment and flowers from One Big Happy!

This past week I finished a second Blog Hop card:

Added a little gold to this pink embroidery thread!

And finally finished my '2015' 10 yr celebration card using Clipsters and Big Basics Thanks:

Have a great weekend!

PATTERN PLAY WITH DIE CUT SILHOUETTES

What a great challenge to help me use some the pretty papers I have collected!

How about a sweet deer and some purple papers:

These other cards I kept simple and worked with one pattern paper...guess i'm not to
good at mixing =)

Yesterday my girls and I were playing with their Spirograph set and I actually followed some directions- I never did that when I was a kid- it made these awesome stars. I turned them into cards so I could share them:

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Spinner Cards

What a fun card to try! My craft buddies were all over this technique!:

I see there are lots of cute cards in the link already!
I played with the heart/valentine theme.

I first thought of the cute arrows in the Clipsters set:

Then I thought a spinning envelope valentine would be sweet:

Here's a hello from my backyard visitors today:

Supplies:
PTI Inks
Post & Parcel kit
Wee Folk - tiny heart
Shaker & Sprinkles- heart and 'love'
Clipsters
Swoosh - little heart
Thanks for stopping by and take care,
Noelle
