Blue Skies

Didn't think I would seek in any more 8th Birthday challenges, but when under pressure (really wanting to play along and short on time) I can make a card a lot faster than I thought!

Create a new project that features a blue ombre effect.

'Simply Framed' plus 'Fancy That' stamp sets make quick and CAS cards!

I need to practice the ombre technique a little more and one day I'd like to find a way to get better pictures of my cards!

Spring into Action

Papertreys challenge today: Spring into action and Create a new project that uses a stamp set from your collection that hasn't seen ink!

A great challenge for me since I hadn't opened my December Freebie set 'Pretty Petals' yet!

So I opened her up and made this card:

I tried the Versamark Ink on kraft paper technique, stamped the leaves in green shades, with a little rock and roll technique and added a 'wink' of glitter to the little leaves. We will welcome spring with open arms!

8th Anniversary Inspiration

It's PTI 8th birthday and the challenge is: Create a new project that uses one Color Recipe Card and one Sketch Recipe Card from the options above.

 I've been  wanted to try this look where you cut your image! Ooooo scary...but fun. So I broke out my new 'Fancy That' set and tried two cards:

 Both cards are stamped and embossed in clear. 

Then I put ink and water on my craft sheet and rubbed my stamped card across it. That was a fun new technique I've never done before either! Then I cut the image and added a sentiment on vellum.

PTI Inspired

I'm trying to sneak in some craft time and celebrate with Papertrey Ink's 8th Birthday! This challenge was to create something inspired by one of Maile Belles creations. What fun new products she has designed. I really like this card and how the front of the card was a partial die cut:

So I tried a version of it with my 'new' Shakers and Sprinkles kit:

I also used some glitter paper and a few sequins. It was so fun.

 Now I just need some more craft time =)
